Through Darkest Pondelayo

''Through Darkest Pondelayo: An account of the adventures of two English ladies on a cannibal island '' is a 1936 satirical novel by Joan Lindsay, published under the pseudonym Serena Livingstone-Stanley.
Based on Lindsay's time traveling in Europe, it is a parody of English tourists abroad, and is structured in the format of a travel book. The photographs in the book detailing the girls' adventures were shot by Lindsay with her friends in a backyard in East Melbourne.〔(【引用サイトリンク】work=DailyMotion )〕 The novel was Lindsay's first published work.
